The UFC awarded $50K bonuses to four men tonight at UFC Fight Night 31: Fight for the Troops 3. All of the bonuses would come from the main card as Tim Kennedy, Mike Chiesa, Rustam Khabilov, and Jorge Masvidal would receive some extra pay for their efforts. UFC president Dana White announced the bonuses at tonight’s post-fight press conference.

Kennedy Awarded “KO of the Night”
US Army Ranger Tim Kennedy picked up “Knockout of the Night” tonight with his devastating knockout of Rafael Natal in tonight’s main event. Kennedy caught Natal with a leaping left hook that separated the Renzo Gracie JJ fighter from consciousness. The bonus is Kennedy’s first in the UFC.
Chiesa Wins “Submission of the Night”
TUF: Live champion Michael Chiesa would pick up “Submission of the Night” for his rear-naked choke finish of TUF 16 champion Colton Smith. Chiesa’s submission victory would come off a throw that dropped Smith on top of his head and saw Chiesa jumped to a rear-naked choke on the stunned fighter. The award is Chiesa’s second in four UFC fights.
Khabilov and Masvidal Combine for “Fight of the Night”
Rustam Khabilov and Jorge Masvidal would pick up “Fight of the Night” for their main card battle tonight in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. The two would battle it out in a contentious fight that saw Khabilov victorious. The bonus was both men’s first in the UFC.
